Boxers under gym shorts is a divisive choice. Here’s when it works and when briefs make more sense.
Good for
Lifting, yoga, walking, casual workouts. Anything low-impact. Cotton poplin boxers breathe better than synthetic compression and don’t squeeze.
Not ideal for
Running and HIIT. Loose fabric bunches and chafes over a long run; that’s a job for trunks or briefs.
Or skip the gym shorts
Plenty of people just wear the boxers. A relaxed leg, an inner elastic that stays put and a back pocket for your locker key. Our men’s boxers pass as training shorts for a lift or a stretch.
Pick a pair from the men’s rack. Wash cold after, line dry, repeat.
Good to know
Gifting: Printed boxers are the rare gift that gets used. Pick the print that matches the person. Gamer, musician, gym obsessive, permanent holidaymaker. And get the size by measuring a pair they already own flat across the waistband and doubling it. When in doubt, one size up.
Waistband: We sew the elastic inside a fabric casing, so nothing rubs your skin and nothing shows through trousers. There’s no drawstring to knot or lose in the wash; the inner elastic keeps you in place on its own, flexing after lunch and snapping back when you stand up.
Made in India: Envisioned, designed and made in India. Our boxers are stitched in our own workshop by people we know, in small batches, which is how we can put out a new print without betting on ten thousand units of it.
Summer: In an Indian summer, boxers should be light enough to see light through, woven so air passes, and cut loose so nothing traps heat. Digital printing helps here too. Screen-print ink adds a plasticky layer that holds warmth against the skin.
